Meme: Book Blogger Hop - April 6th - 12th

Do you overextend yourself with too many reviews because you can't pass up a book in hopes you will get them all done or do you carefully plan and be sure you can fulfill the deadlines for all the promised reviews?Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews
Yes?
I've been struggling to finish any book to review right now. I do have a bit of a backlog on netgalley and finally had to give up on a couple.

I would love to be that person who carefully plan out and fulfill all the deadlines.

  2. It's really easy to get behind, it can take a lot of time to read and review. I definitely know the feeling.

  4. I need to try out Netgalley, I have been hearing great things about it. I had to stop accepting honest reviews from authors coming to me because of the pressure (and the drowning feeling of getting behind on reviews!) so I wish you all the luck and I hope you catch up soon! :) Have a great weekend Shannon!

    1. I do like NetGalley, but it's a bit of a hole you throw yourself into and continue to dig deeper.

I have still not found the right way to balance requesting.
If you are autoapproved, it's a little easier. When requesting you can get turned down or approved and you have no idea what it will be. And sometimes they take forever to approve or reject you!

I do like the site, it's just hard to balance what you have little control over.

  5. I get behind on reading and reviewing all the time. I just don't have much time to read. Happy reading!

  7. I try to plan ahead and meet the deadlines so I don't get overwhelmed and panic, and I hate saying I'll complete a review and then not be able to. But sometimes it gets a bit hectic and it's really easy to fall behind on reviews

  9. Netgalley used to be my kryptonite but I've learned to manage it better now.
