Dorothy Must Die

I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be some kind of hero.

But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado - taking you with it - you have no choice but to go along, you know?

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm - and I'm the other girl from Kansas.

Meh. I didn't like it.

It was interesting to see the way the original characters have been twisted and deconstructed - as well as Oz itself.

Amy has too much angst. and there is too much crushing (or should I say, "What?! HIM?! I totally don't feel like that about him. But... why am I so jealous of every other female in the same room as him") for my taste.

Somehow, I'm not sure how, but the book feels like it was both too long and too short. The ending is cheap. It's a series, so that should be a clue, but it was poorly handled.
