No more moving.
Now to deal with a house full of clutter.

For Banned Book Week, I read Anne Frank, Diary of a Young Girl.
Full disclosure, I will not be reviewing this one.
I don't feel this is something that should be reviewed in the traditional sense. The merit is not in the quality of writing or in great storytelling, but in what it contributes to history and society as a whole. THAT is immeasurable. Any rating I (or anyone) can give cannot do justice to what has been endured and the legacy left behind.

The State of the Blog

I lied about Tuesday and Friday. ^^;
Well, not "lied", but preplanned and didn't follow through.
Oops.

I'm currently debating turning my "watching" section into a weekly meme/feature so I can actually review it more in depth if I choose to.

The Great American Read!

If you are just starting, I feel you should know that you do not have to start at the beginning. Episode 1 was actually a two hour special aired at the beginning of summer to get everyone hyped. Episode 2 (Fall Kick Off) is just a one hour rehash using the some of the same footage of episode 1. You could actually skip both if you wanted to.

I love how they are interviewing people from all walks of life. It's just so well done, I can't wait for next week (Villains and Monsters)!

  2. Hooray for the move being complete. I like the next part - getting everything organized where it goes. But still find time to relax and read. The last time I moved I listened to many audios while packing and cleaning. Anne - Books of My Heart

  5. I think reviewing Anne Frank would be impossible. I remember reading it when I was about Anne's age and thinking it was kind of boring and then rereading it when I was in college and just being blown away because she was such a normal girl The reason I probably found it boring the first time I read it was because we were so much alike! The impact that made was so enormous. I've seen The Great American Read listed but haven't actually watched it. I'll have to watch it. Nice to know I don't have to start at the beginning. Have a great week!
